About Sri Ramanujeeyam
Sri Ramanujeeyam is a charitable and spiritual trust dedicated to preserving, propagating, and practicing the timeless teachings of Bhagavad Rāmānuja, the great Ācārya who illuminated the path of Viśiṣṭādvaita Vedānta for the benefit of humanity. Inspired by his divine message of devotion, knowledge, compassion, and service, the Trust strives to make the treasures of our spiritual heritage accessible to sincere seekers across generations. Established with the vision of nurturing a deeper understanding of Vedānta, Sanskrit, Tamil spiritual literature, and the Śrī Vaiṣṇava tradition, Sri Ramanujeeyam seeks to serve as a bridge between the wisdom of the ancient Ācāryas and the spiritual aspirations of the modern world.
Our Vision
Sri Ramanujeeyam envisions a world illuminated by the timeless teachings of Bhagavad Rāmānuja, where the principles of devotion, knowledge, service, and surrender are understood, practiced, and passed on from generation to generation. Inspired by the sacred lineage of the Śrī Vaiṣṇava Ācāryas, we strive to preserve, propagate, and perpetuate the spiritual and philosophical treasures of our sampradāya.
Our vision is to nurture sincere students into competent scholars, teachers, and custodians of the tradition who can study, practice, and transmit the teachings of the Vedas, Divya Prabandham, Śrī Bhāṣya, and other revered granthas. Through systematic education, scriptural study, examinations, and scholarly engagement, we seek to create a vibrant community dedicated to carrying forward the legacy of Bhagavad Rāmānuja for the benefit of future generations.
By empowering learners with authentic knowledge and fostering a spirit of kainkaryam, Sri Ramanujeeyam aspires to ensure that the eternal wisdom of our Ācāryas continues to flourish, inspire, and guide society for centuries to come.
Propagation of Viśiṣṭādvaita Vedānta
At the heart of Sri Ramanujeeyam lies the sacred mission of propagating the Viśiṣṭādvaita Siddhānta established by Bhagavad Rāmānuja. The Trust encourages the systematic study and discussion of foundational Vedāntic texts, including the works of Vedavyāsa, Bodhāyana, Tanka, Dramida, Śrī Nammāḻvār, Nāthamuni, Āḷavandār, and Bhagavad Rāmānuja. Through discourses, seminars, scholarly gatherings, and structured learning programmes, we strive to preserve the authentic understanding of the scriptures as handed down through the revered Śrī Vaiṣṇava tradition.
Pedagogy & Vedānta Classes
True knowledge flourishes under proper guidance and sincere effort. Sri Ramanujeeyam conducts Śāstra and Vedānta classes for eligible and dedicated students who wish to study the philosophical, theological, and devotional foundations of the Śrī Vaiṣṇava sampradāya. These classes are designed to introduce students to the principles of Viśiṣṭādvaita, scriptural interpretation, traditional methodology, Sanskrit learning, and the teachings of the Ācāryas. The objective is not merely academic understanding, but spiritual transformation through disciplined study and contemplation.
Examinations and Recognition
To encourage systematic learning and preserve traditional standards of scholarship, the Trust conducts examinations in Viśiṣṭādvaita Vedānta and related disciplines. These examinations help students assess their progress and deepen their commitment to the study of the scriptures. Sri Ramanujeeyam also honours distinguished scholars, teachers, and exponents of the Śrī Vaiṣṇava tradition whose lives and contributions inspire future generations to pursue spiritual excellence.
Discourses and Spiritual Gatherings
The living tradition of Vedānta thrives through dialogue, reflection, and satsanga. Sri Ramanujeeyam organizes discourses, spiritual gatherings, and Vedānta Vidvat Sadas where scholars, devotees, and seekers come together to discuss sacred texts, philosophical principles, and practical spiritual life. These gatherings serve as forums for learning, inspiration, and the strengthening of devotion to Bhagavān Śrīman Nārāyaṇa and the teachings of Bhagavad Rāmānuja.
Publications
Recognizing the importance of accessible learning, the Trust publishes and distributes books, study materials, notes, and educational resources relating to Viśiṣṭādvaita Vedānta, Sanskrit literature, Tamil spiritual works, and the teachings of the Ācāryas. Through these efforts, we seek to preserve traditional knowledge while making it available to students and seekers around the world.
Libraries and Centres of Learning
Knowledge flourishes where learning is nurtured. Sri Ramanujeeyam aims to establish and maintain libraries, reading rooms, and educational centres that provide access to spiritual literature, scriptural commentaries, research materials, and traditional texts. These institutions are envisioned as places where seekers may engage in study, reflection, and the pursuit of higher knowledge.
Youth Development
The teachings of Bhagavad Rāmānuja are not confined to philosophy alone; they inspire noble conduct and responsible living. Through educational and cultural programmes, Sri Ramanujeeyam seeks to instill discipline, character, patriotism, respect for tradition, and spiritual values among children and youth. The Trust believes that the future strength of society lies in nurturing young minds with wisdom, compassion, and a sense of higher purpose.
Service to Society
Guided by the spirit of kainkaryam (selfless service), Sri Ramanujeeyam is committed to supporting deserving individuals and communities through scholarships, educational assistance, food distribution, and developmental initiatives. The Trust also seeks to contribute to the holistic development of villages and rural communities by promoting education, cultural awareness, and social upliftment rooted in dharmic values.
Our Commitment
Sri Ramanujeeyam stands as an offering at the lotus feet of Bhagavān Śrīman Nārāyaṇa and Bhagavad Rāmānuja. Every activity of the Trust is inspired by the ideal of service—service to God, service to the scriptures, service to the Ācārya tradition, and service to humanity. With the blessings of the divine and the guidance of the great Ācāryas, we continue our humble efforts to preserve sacred knowledge, nurture spiritual growth, and carry forward the eternal message of Viśiṣṭādvaita Vedānta for generations to come.
